Hapfo 5000-ME Copy Lathes
About This Machine
Hapfo offer three bed lengths in the range of motorised advance copy lathes from 1400mm, 1700mm and 2600mm between centres, all with 250mm centre height. The motorised carriage is driven by a variable speed motor. Intended for short production runs yet they are of the same top quality engineering as the larger Hapfo lathes. This is a very precise and powerful machine made in heavy grey cast iron with no sheet metal used in the construction.

It is important to realise that the distance between centres is calculated with the short six-prong drive dog and short live centre, the copying length is 150mm shorter than the distance between centres due to the space taken by the carriage. When the follower (spindle steady) is used to steady the work a further reduction in length of 120mm must be considered. For example the lathe with 1400mm centres with follower will turn a maximum length of 1130mm.
The headstock and bed are made from high quality grey cast iron with milled and polished bed. The drive spindle has a hollow shaft and it is suitable for vacuum attachments.
There are over 60 optional accessories to choose from such as four jaw followers, ring followers, suction hoods, tool rests for hand turning and many more.
