Our traditionally crafted oak trusses do far more than support roofs and walls – they create striking architectural features that enhance both character and value. Designed to work in harmony with your architect or structural engineer, each truss is precision-manufactured to suit your project.
Once drawings are approved, final site measurements are taken to ensure absolute accuracy. Prepared oak beams are then hand assembled using time-honoured techniques and delivered ready for on-site erection by your builder.

Traditional Craftsmanship & Structural Integrity
All trusses are manufactured using traditional mortice and tenon joints, reinforced with stainless steel bar nuts and washers through key load-bearing points. This ensures exceptional strength, longevity, and structural reliability.
We use freshly cut, strength-graded beams compliant with BS5756 standards. As the oak naturally dries, it will develop characteristic splits and surface checking — a natural and desirable feature that enhances its authentic appearance.
Finishes & Surface Treatments
As standard, our trusses are supplied smoothly sanded and unoiled. Alternative finishes are available to suit your aesthetic preferences:
- Sawn finish
- Adzed finish
- Sandblasted finish
- Pre-oiled finish (optional)
Oak requires no surface treatment to perform beautifully. Interior beams naturally mature into a warm honey tone, while exterior oak weathers into an elegant silvery-grey finish.
